East Brother Light Station welcomed guests back on September 2, 2021. Due to heightened concerns regarding COVID and the Delta variant, EBLS has implemented the following measures to ensure that you have a safe, healthy, and hassle-free stay with us:

  • Guests are required to provide proof of vaccination.
  • A vaccination reporting portal will collect vaccination information prior to your stay.
  • Inn Keepers will provide information for submitting proof of vaccination once a reservation is made.
  • If we do not receive proof of vaccination before your arrival date, the Keepers will not be able to bring you to the Island.
  • Guests are required to wear masks or facial coverings at all times while inside communal spaces unless eating or drinking and social distance when possible.
  • Please note that our communal dining experience and the boat ride to and from the island do not have the space to allow for social distancing.
  • Reservations for all events are required in advance.
  • Reservation confirmation is upon receipt of payment only.
  • Payment is required, either by credit card or check, at the time the reservation is made. See rates below.
  • Room Rates apply for one or two persons per room. For an additional fee, a rollaway mattress is available for a third person in some rooms, please call for details.
  • Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
  • Gift Certificates - Please call (510) 233-2385 to make reservations using Gift Certificates. Our online reservation system is not available for booking Gift Certificate reservations. Gif Certificate reservations must be made by phone.
  • Rates include parking at the harbor, the boat ride to and from the island, hors-d'oeuvres with complimentary champagne, a tour of the lighthouse, a four-course dinner with complimentary wines, and a full breakfast.

Pickup and Checkout Times: 

Overnight guests: Pickup time is promptly at 4:00 p.m. from Point San Pablo Yacht Harbor. Checkout and return to the mainland are by 11:00 a.m.

Day use: Visitors are picked up from the floating dock nearest the harbor office.  There is a waiting area for guests on the deck next to Black Star BBQ restaurant at approximately 11:15 a.m. and returned to the Harbor at approximately 3:45 p.m. (Map & Directions)

Cancellations: Cancellations for overnight visits are subject to a $30 service charge. Overnight cancellations made with less than 30 days notice will be refunded, at 90% of the cost paid, less a $30 service charge, only if the reservation can be rebooked. If the reservation cannot be re-booked, the entire amount is non-refundable.  Rebooking - Guests rescheduling their visits are subject to a $30 rebooking fee.  Rebooking with less than 30 days' notice is subject to a $60 rebooking fee.  Day use payments are non-refundable unless the visit is canceled by East Brother Light Station, in which event, a full refund will be made.

Because of strict water rationing, baths and showers are not available to guests who stay only one night. More information about staying at the lighthouse is available in the visitor information section.
